Espresso Machine

 

La Marzocco, founded in 1927 by the Bambi brothers, has traditionally specialized in producing high end hand crafted espresso coffee machines geared towards excellence, a quality cup and style.

 

Our Choice 

The Linea PB, designed by and named in recognition of Piero Bambi, refashions the technical and stylistic workings of the Linea Classic, La Marzocco's industry icon introduced to the marketplace over 20 years ago. In addition to distinctive La Marzocco features, the Linea PB is equipped with exclusive, user friendly interface software that gives the barista control over boiler temperature, brewing volume, hot water tap dose and other options, ensuring a new level of performance and reliability. The machine's lower profile and increased work area make it practical, without abandoning world renown Italian design

 

Grinder

Our choice for the all important espresso blend is the Robur E 110v doserless grinder. This is electronic dosing and grinding at its absolute best. It features a 900 watt motor with 71 mm conical burrs running at 500 rpm, dosing 22 grams in 3 seconds. It also has an integrated cooling fan and an electronic digital timer with programmable display, all at the touch of a button. Perfection.

Golborne deli blend 

A well rounded & evenly balanced blend, this delicious coffee comprises of the finest coffee beans from Peru, Ethiopia, Columbia and Guatemala.

Peru's award winning Aymara

 

Grown high in the Andean mountains amongst the most beautiful flora and fauna of the Tambopata Valley, these beans are fed and washed by pure spring waters then patio dried by the local indigenous Quechua and 'Aymara' speaking families, who have proudly worked the area for generations in harmony with their land.  Delivering rich chocolatey tones with bright citrus flavours Aymara coffee is organically grown, fairly traded, RFA certified and directly imported from the Aymara indigenous small holders. Chosen for its high quality, organic origins & superb taste. 

 

Ethiopia

 

Altitude: 1950-2150 Metres ASL
Location: Debo sub-zone, Kochere Zone, Yirgacheffe district, between towns of Fishegenet and Chelelektu (approx. 6km NE of Chelelektu)
Mill: Kochere Debo
Varietal: Heirloom – typica and various other indigenous Ethiopian varietals, including Kurume (local Kochere varietal)
Producers: Approx. 700 farmers, some on the slopes of Mount Reko
Average Production: Approx. 180MT a year of specialty grade coffee 

Good body with chocolate & jasmine flavours

Columbia

Cupping Notes: Intense lemon flavour underpinned by delicious red berry/cherry flavour with distant cocoa notes.

Cup Sizes

We have specifically chosen these cup sizes to reflect and respect the true flavours of the coffee. All our coffees are served as a double shot as a standard; that is approximately 50mls of espresso in each drink.

· Flat whites are served in a 7 oz cup
· Cafe Latte are served in 10 oz mug

· Cappuccino, Americanos and Hot Chocolate are served in an 7,10,16 oz cup

· Chai Latte 16 oz


Take away drinks are all served in the same above volumes but in an 8,12,16 oz cup

Baristas

Our Baristas have at least three continuous years experience behind a professional espresso machine. They are continuously in pursuit of perfecting the art of espresso making.

 

Milk

We only ever use absolutely fresh, organic milk. We are using Alpro milk for soy drinkers.
 



Cleanliness
Our machines, grinders and the surrounding work areas are always kept impeccably clean.
 

 

Taste

We drink and check the taste of our coffee ourselves. All the time.
